Gates Hill Farm

On 103 acres nestled on a hilltop in the western Maine mountains, you'll find a growing herd of Scottish Highlander cattle; laying hens and their colorful bounty; Reba, our pig mama; a few human kids, who aren't really kids anymore; and a whole lot of love. 

When, 5 years into our marriage, the man of the house lost his leg in an accident, we decided to live life a little more fully...and a little more simply. We camp, we raise kids and critters, we drive tractors and atvs, we cut hay and have cookouts...we live and love, and work and play up here on this solar-powered farm. It's a little messy (ok, maybe a lot messy) and you always have to watch where you step, but we wouldn't trade this life for anything!
